Canon Support Code 2110: Paper settings do not match the cassette

✅ Usually fixable yourself

The paper size or type set for printing or copying does not match the paper information registered for the cassette on the printer.

What to try

  1. Press the printer's OK button to show the options screen.
  2. To print on the paper already in the cassette without changing settings, choose "Print on set paper" (on some models, "Use cass. settings").
  3. Or choose "Replace paper", load the correct paper in the cassette, and register the paper information when the printer asks.
  4. For copying, make the copy paper settings match the cassette paper information.

When it needs a technician

Not a repair issue. It is a settings mismatch.

Which models show 2110

First steps for any printer error

  1. Write down the exact code before you do anything else — similar-looking codes often mean completely different things.
  2. Power the printer off, unplug it for a couple of minutes, then power it back on. A surprising number of transient errors clear here.
  3. Open the covers and check for paper scraps, packaging material, or anything blocking the carriage.
  4. Check the cartridges or tanks are genuine, correctly seated, and not empty.
  5. Confirm the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a power strip or extension lead.
  6. Check your model’s own manual — codes are model-specific, and the manual is the authority for your machine.
