Zoom calls have no audio or video on my computer. Other people cannot hear or see me even though I can hear them.
This is almost always a permissions issue. Windows and Mac both require you to grant Zoom access to your camera and microphone. On Windows, go to Settings, Privacy and Security, Camera, and make sure both Let Apps Access Your Camera and Zoom are toggled on. Do the same for Microphone. On Mac, go to System Settings, Privacy and Security, Camera, and make sure Zoom has a checkmark. Same for Microphone. In Zoom itself, click the small arrow next to the microphone icon and select the correct microphone and speaker. Click the arrow next to the camera icon and select the correct camera. Also check that your microphone is not muted (the mic icon should not have a red line through it). Test your audio and video in Zoom by going to Settings, Audio, Test Speaker and Test Mic, then Settings, Video. If your camera shows a black screen in Zoom but works in other apps, close all other apps that might be using the camera. Some laptops have a physical camera shutter or switch — check that it is open.
