My Bluetooth headphones are paired and connected to my laptop but no sound comes through them. Sound only plays through laptop speakers.
This is an audio output routing issue, not a Bluetooth problem. Your laptop is connected to the headphones but Windows is still sending audio to the built-in speakers. Click the speaker icon in the system tray (bottom right corner), then click the small arrow next to the volume slider. You will see a list of audio output devices — select your Bluetooth headphones from the list. If they are not listed there, go to Settings, System, Sound, and under Output, select your headphones from the dropdown menu. If you see your headphones listed as two separate devices (like Headphones and Headset), choose Headphones for music and media — Headset mode is for calls and has lower audio quality. If nothing works, remove the Bluetooth pairing entirely (Settings, Bluetooth & Devices, find your headphones, click the three dots, Remove Device), then pair them again. Some headphones also require you to install a companion app or driver for full functionality on Windows. Check the manufacturer's website for any recommended software.
