My camera works in other apps but Microsoft Teams shows a black screen or says no camera found during meetings.
Teams camera issues are almost always a permissions or driver conflict. First, check Windows camera permissions: go to Settings, Privacy and Security, Camera, and make sure both Let Apps Access Your Camera and Microsoft Teams are turned on. Next, check if another app is using the camera — close Zoom, Skype, or any other video app that might have the camera locked. In Teams, click your profile picture, Settings, Devices, and check which camera is selected in the Camera dropdown. If multiple cameras are listed such as the built-in camera and an external webcam, try switching between them. If Teams shows a black screen, clear the Teams cache: close Teams completely, press Win+R, type %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams, and delete the Cache, blob_storage, databases, GPUCache, and tmp folders. Restart Teams. If none of this works, update your camera driver in Device Manager: expand Cameras or Imaging Devices, right-click your camera, and Update Driver. As a last resort, uninstall and reinstall Teams — download the latest version from microsoft.com/teams.
