My HP printer shows as offline on my computer even though it's connected to the same WiFi network. How do I fix this?
The offline status is usually a driver or spooler issue, not a real connectivity problem. Start by opening Settings, then Devices, then Printers & Scanners on your Windows PC. Click on your HP printer, then click Open Queue. In the queue window, click Printer in the menu bar and make sure Use Printer Offline is NOT checked. If it is, uncheck it. Next, restart the Print Spooler service: open Services (type services.msc in the Start menu), find Print Spooler, right-click and select Restart. If that does not work, remove the printer entirely from your computer, download the latest driver from support.hp.com for your exact model, install it, and add the printer again. In about 80 percent of cases, this resolves the offline issue permanently.
