Error 0x00000709 is a Windows printer management bug that became common after certain Windows updates. The fix involves a registry edit. Press Win+R, type regedit, and press Enter. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then Software, then Microsoft, then Windows NT, then CurrentVersion, then Windows. On the right side, find the value called Device. Right-click it, select Modify, and change the value to your printer name followed by comma winspool comma and the port name. For example: HP LaserJet Pro,winspool,USB001. If you cannot modify it because of permissions, right-click the Windows folder on the left, select Permissions, and give your user account Full Control. Alternatively, open Settings, go to Bluetooth & Devices, then Printers & Scanners, scroll down and turn OFF the option called Let Windows manage my default printer. Then manually select your preferred printer and click Set as default. This bypasses the registry issue entirely.
