HP Error E2: Paper length mismatch
E2 means the paper length selected in the print settings does not match the length of the paper loaded. On some tank models the printer prints the first page with errors before stopping.
What to try
- Press Cancel to cancel the print job or clear the error.
- Open the print settings in your printing software.
- Change the paper size setting to match the length of the paper loaded in the printer.
- Send the print job again.

First steps for any printer error
- Write down the exact code before you do anything else — similar-looking codes often mean completely different things.
