My Canon printer is showing support code B203 and won't print anything. Is this fixable or do I need a new printer?
Canon error B203 indicates a print head malfunction, usually caused by overheating or an electrical issue. Before buying a new printer, try these steps in order. First, turn off the printer and unplug it from power for at least 10 minutes to let it cool down completely. While unplugged, open the lid and remove all ink cartridges. Look at the print head — it is the part that the cartridges sit in. If your model has a removable print head, gently lift the locking lever and remove it. Clean the electrical contacts on both the print head and inside the printer with a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol. Reinstall everything and try again. In about 40 percent of cases, this resolves B203. If it does not, the print head may need replacement.
