My WiFi network does not appear in the list of available networks on my Windows 11 laptop. Other networks show up but not mine.
If your network is not showing up but others are visible, your router may be broadcasting on a band or channel that your laptop's WiFi adapter does not support, or the SSID is hidden. First, check if your network is set to hidden: log into your router admin panel and look for Visibility or SSID Broadcast and make sure it is enabled. If it is hidden, you can manually connect by going to Settings, Network & Internet, WiFi, Manage Known Networks, then Add a New Network and typing the exact network name and password. If your router is set to 5GHz only or a DFS channel like channel 52 or above, some older WiFi adapters cannot see those channels. Try switching your router to channel 36, 40, 44, or 48 for 5GHz, or enable the 2.4GHz band as well. Also update your WiFi adapter driver — in Device Manager, right-click your wireless adapter, select Update Driver, then Search Automatically. If your adapter is very old, it may not support WiFi 6 or newer protocols that your router uses by default.
