In a high-rise, the building has its own pump system that pushes water to rooftop tanks, which then gravity-feed the apartments below. Your water pressure depends on three things: the building pump performance, your floor level relative to the rooftop tank, and the condition of the pipes between the tank and your apartment. Apartments on the top 3 to 5 floors typically have the lowest pressure because they are closest to the tank with the least gravitational head.
