Rinnai 12 Error Code: No flame
Updated October 2026 Β· Sourced from Rinnai documentation
The flame did not establish or went out. The manual lists confirming the gas is on, that the propane tank has gas, that the flame rod wire is connected, and correct gas type and pressure.
Is it safe to keep running? Check the steps below first. If the code returns, call a licensed gas technician. Flame rod and gas pressure checks are not for homeowners.

- Make sure the cold water supply valve is fully open and hot water taps are not partly closed.
- Look at the outside vent terminal for snow, ice, leaves or anything blocking it (look only).
